The Score is Jam-R's 1, Weather 4.  The first 4 rides this year have been scratched.   But things have changed for the better.

Apparently the Ride Nazi was asleep this day because the weather was decent; warm and partly cloudy but no rain forecast until evening.
Seven JAM-R's and one passenger headed for Cape May. A pleasant ride with the scent of pine as we traveled down Rt. 47.
We arrived at the ferry with time to spare The guard lined up all the bikers separately and let us on as a group to the head of the boat. Wheel chocks were provided but not necessary as the ride was smooth and pleasant.
After docking we headed for Lewes and lunch. However, true to form, we got lost and wound up on a one way street to nowhere. Unfortunately, no one had an ON-STAR button on their wing so we doubled back and found the Lemon Tree sandwich shop. Even though it wasn't listed on our Mobil Restaurant Guide ( not one star ), we stayed for lunch.
An hour later and fully gassed ( the bikes, not us )  we headed north on Delaware rt. 1.
With only one wrong turn onto Rt. 36 we continued north to Rt. 9. A scenic, quiet country road with lots of farms. Wayne King and Bobby Owens kept us all informed about the finer points of farming.
We crossed over the Chesapeake and Delaware canal ( beautiful view from the top ) at Delaware City and took a short break.
Dark clouds did form during our break but fortunately, we didn't encounter any rain on the ride home
   Another successful JAM-R ride.
See you next month.
